About
Hi, I'm Paul
The coach behind Lean Lab Training, helping beginners and busy people get fitter with training that fits real life.
My story
I've been training in gyms since I was 16, and at 42 I'm still at it. Over the years I've done a bit of everything: powerlifting, Olympic lifting, bodybuilding, strongman and general strength training, plus CrossFit and cardio circuits. Trying all those styles taught me there's no single right way to train, just the way that works for you and that you'll keep doing.
For me, fitness isn't only about lifting. I care about all-round fitness: mobility, conditioning, and keeping the whole body moving well. Stretching is a big part of that, and it's something I genuinely value and build into my own routine. I also look after what I eat and keep my diet healthy, because training and good food go hand in hand.
I started Lean Lab Training because I kept seeing people who wanted to get fitter but didn't know where to start. Gyms can feel intimidating, the internet is full of mixed messages, and most plans aren't built for someone with a job, a family and a busy week.
I wanted to make training simple again: a plan made for you, sessions tailored around your work life, and someone in your corner checking in every week. Lean Lab is about steady progress you can keep, not quick fixes.
